Medical Receptionist

- Part Time (minimum 0.6FTE) OR Full Time

MIMC is searching for the right person to join our team as a medical receptionist with extended duties. Perhaps it’s you.

The available position is 0.6 - 1.0 FTE and essential work days include Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Outstanding customer service skills - you’re an active listener, able to demonstrate empathy, warmth and kindness towards customers and colleagues, manage customer expectations in a positive and sensitive manner, address customers needs with a helpful and can-do approach, go above and beyond to manage problems or complaints in a way that exceeds customers expectations

Organisation, efficiency and team work- you’re highly organised, able to respond effectively in a busy and demanding environment, able to look for and implement efficiencies to your workflows and those of your team, accept, respond to and sensitively provide feedback on systems, processes and work that you undertake.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

Medical Reception Experience - general practice reception experience is helpful but not essential, work experience in other health reception or administration roles is desirable, knowledge of Medicare

Occupational Health and Safety Experience - our role includes Occupational Health and Safety coordination with the support of the existing clinic Policies and Procedures, and the clinic leadership team

The Royal Hotel has beautifully furnished, light-filled consulting rooms available for sessional lease.  Comprising a complement of clinically equipped consulting rooms, counselling spaces and offices, the rooms suit

  • Visiting medical or surgical specialists

  • Allied Health Practitioners – especially psychologists, diabetes educators, exercise physiologists, speech therapists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists

  • Health coaches

Ground floor rooms are wheelchair accessible and disability-compliant, and first floor rooms are accessed via both lift and stairs.

Sessional lease can be negotiated either with, or without reception support.

About Warrnambool

Warrnambool, the regional centre of southwest Victoria is a seaside town of 35,000 at the west end of The Great Ocean Road, and three hours travel from Melbourne.
